Robert Morgan, age 77, died on the morning of April 7, 2011. Robert was born in Detroit on June 30, 1933 in the midst of the Great Depression. After graduating from Detroit Northeastern High School he decided to join the United States Air Force. Robert fought for his country in the Korean War, but still wrote to the love of his life Rosalie while on his deployment. After his time in service he came home to marry Rosalie, and quickly raised a family of 5. Robert moved his family into the suburbs of Madison Heights, and then finally Utica. Robert provided for his family by working as a specifications supervisor for engineering for the Chevrolet-Pontiac-Cadillac division of General Motors. He retired from GM after 32 years. After his retirement he moved from Lewiston, to Lapeer, to Tucson, Arizona, and finally back to Macomb, Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling in his early years, and was content to be with his family and grandchildren in his later years. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosalie (nee Badalamenti); children Timothy (Mary) Morgan, Susan Ciaffone, Steven (Meredith) Morgan, Pamela (James) Siarkowski, Jeanne (Michael) Barker; as well as his 7 grand children and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Monday, April 11, 2011 from 1 to 9PM. Instate begins Tuesday, April 12 at 10:30AM until the time of service at 11AM. The visitation and funeral service will be at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home located at 46530 Romeo Plank, Macomb, MI 48044 (South of 21 Mile). Internment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
