Judith Elsa Ponder (nee Peterson), age 66, a resident of Columbus, Mich, died January 14, 2012. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, in particular her children and grandchildren. She is a retired Activities Aide for Medilodge in Richmond, having worked 32 years there. In addition to her family, Judy enjoyed spending time at the beach, scrap booking, and Bingo. Judy is survived by her loving son and daughter, Daniel (Jenifer) Ponder and Christina (Evan) Farner; dear sisters, Joan (Harry) Bokano and Coreen (Richard) Hazelton; adored grandchildren, Danielle Ponder, Zachery Ponder, Jacob Ponder, Garrett Farner, and Haley Farner. Judy was predeceased by her husband, James Edward Ponder and parents, Hugo Peterson and Dorothy Hazelton.

Visitation for Judy is Tuesday, January 17, from 2-9 p.m. at the Lee-Ellena Funeral Home, 46530 Romeo Plank Macomb, Mich. Funeral service is 11 a.m. (instate 10:30 a.m.) at St.Peter Lutheran Church in Richmond, lunch served following the service at church. The family asks that memorials be given in lieu of flowers.
