Catherine Mary Pecoraro was born to Lawrence and Anne (nee Pizzimenti) Russo on June 15, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan. When Catherine was only 8 years old, she met the love of her life, Nickolas Pecoraro. Both of their families came to America on April 1, 1913 and their grandparents were old friends. They would fall in love at first sight, and enjoy 66 years of happy marriage and raise 6 caring, loving children. Catherine was well-known for her home-made Italian cooking and her dedication to the family. She would make spaghetti, pizza, pies, cookies, cannoli and the like for the family's meals. Her world was her husband and children, and she spent her days loving and caring for them.
In spare time, Catherine enjoyed bowling and shopping. Shopping not just for herself, but also for her 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren she would be fortunate to be blessed with. She would listen to any troubles ailing her beloved family giving guidance, love, or correction when the need arose. Catherine is terribly missed by her family, but the virtues and memories she has given them give wings to her love and legacy.

Catherine is survived by her loving children, Tony (Theresa), Fran (Jerry) Kochendoerfer, Larry (Linda), Anne Marie (George) Fish, Vince (Tina); her beloved 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Nickolas and son, Nicky.
