Dearly beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. A unique, room-filling personality who will not soon be forgotten.

Allan Wadecki passed peacefully on May 2, 2012 surrounded by his family and friends. He was a dearly devoted family man who frequently talked of his son, wife, General Motors, trains, politics, and truly just about anything.

Born on September 13, 1941 to Leo and Virginia Wadecki, Allan hired into General Motors Corporation (Warren, MI) in January 1964. Though he retired in December 1992, Allan never truly left. His passion for cars and the Lionel Trains he collected for nearly 50 years was, however, far exceeded by his love of family. He was an extremely proud father and, most of all, a good human being. He is survived by his wife Marie, son Adam, sister Diana, and many special nieces and nephews.

Services for Allan will be held at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home on Romeo Plank Road in Macomb, MI. Visitation will take place from 4-9pm on Saturday and 2-9pm on Sunday. The funeral will be held at Lee-Ellena on Monday at 10:00 am, instate 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the McLaren Foundation's Art Therapy Program (Flint, MI) or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Senior Food Program.

Please take a moment to share a memory of Allan. We know there are many.
