Delynn Denise Scheer

Delynn was born to Richard and Antoinette D'Angelo in Warren, Michigan on July 22, 1972. Her family, including her older sister Candace, grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Delynn was lucky enough to grow up close to her immediate and extended family, including Delynn's cousin Tracey, Aunt Anita, Uncle Ron and her Grandparents. Growing up Delynn was full of life. Her love and zest for life was apparent to her family right from the beginning. She was very active, heavily involved with school activities and friends. She loved to socialize and had many friends growing up. Delynn was athletic and played softball and basketball throughout her years in school. A precocious child and teenager, she always kept her parents on their toes and certainly added a great sense of humor to her family's life.

Delynn received her bachelor's degree at Oakland University and received her Master degree from Wayne State University. Delynn's degrees were in Information Technology and focused on Adult Learning. Delynn loved her college education and had a true desire to learn and apply her education. Delynn was an extremely hard worker and she worked her way independently through college and graduate school. She has dedicated herself to her work in life, both in and outside the home.

Delynn and Rich met through friends and playing Volleyball with the Detroit Social Club. Delynn and Rich enjoyed a young life surrounded by a wonderful group of friends. Delynn and Rich's first date was at a restaurant on the water of Lake St. Clair. They shared a lovely evening together. The restaurant had a small dance floor and Rich surprised Delynn as they danced to "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. This is the very same song that played as their first dance at their wedding.

After dating for a short time, Delynn invited Rich on a date and offered to cook him for him. Given Rich was dating this lovely Italian girl, he envisioned a gourmet Italian pasta dinner.
However, Delynn had something else in mind, Delynn throughout her adult life ate and cooked healthy, so for this first dinner for Rich she made "Tuna Burgers"! Unfortunately, they did not turn out well and Rich quickly learned cooking was not her gift. Luckily, Delynn was beautiful, could make him laugh and had so many other wonderful qualities as their relationship was able to withstand her first home cooked meal. It seems they have laughed and enjoyed every moment of their life together from that point on.

Delynn and Rich married on September 14th, 2002. And after a few years of marriage they welcomed their first child Jessica and then their second daughter Kaitlyn.
To know Delynn was to understand that her family was absolutely everything to her, Delynn was an exceptional mother and a dedicated wife. She adored Rich and was constantly looking for ways for them to enjoy their life together. Her love was evident in the way she would look at Rich, Jessica and Kaitlyn. And now if you look at her girls you will see Delynn.

Jessica shares so many of Delynn's physical traits. Her warm smile, her beautiful eyes, Jess and Delynn also shared a love and inspiration for all things creative. And of course, Jessica's kind and nurturing way with everyone, a trait that made Delynn so proud.

Kaitlyn shares so many of her personality traits. Kaitlyn is smart, extremely independent and serious at times, but also incredibly sweet and out going. She has a fantastic sense of humor and is often found goofing and giggling, much like her mother. You can't help but want to be around both girls, just like their mother.

They have been blessed with an incredible and eventful family life together. The four of theme have lived in Seoul, South Korea and had been currently living in Sao Paulo, Brazil. These family experiences and adventures have given them connections to people and places all over the world. Delynn would often talk about how their foreign assignments changed them, teaching them more about themselves, overcoming challenges of new places and being away from family and friends. Delynn always spoke of how inspiring their experiences were. Most importantly for Delynn was the new friends she made. Throughout Delynn's life, Friendships were so important to her.

Friends describe Delynn as a warm, kind, loving and loyal friend who was always wonderful to be around. She was such an easy person to be friends with and wonderful to know. While Delynn loved to talk and share things about her life and he family, she was genuinely engaged in the lives of everyone around her. Always taking the time to think about others checking in on everyone. And always offering to listen and share perspective. The words beautiful and generous have been used over and over while talking about her barely seems enough. She was someone who would do anything for anyone. Family and friendship and the connections in her life are what made her whole. Delynn had a smile that lit up any room and a personality to go with it. She was positive and optimistic and found good in people. She was an open book always ready to share. She was funny and honest and shared her thoughts in the very best way. She showed you who she was and gave you her whole self. Which is why she is loved by so many.

So to our dearest Delynn - Heaven has gained a sweet angel, yet we have are all suffering a great loss that cannot be understood. The depth of sadness is beyond the ability for any of us to describe and we will miss you terribly. But in our sadness we see your smile, hear your laugh and remember your generous heart. While we are all heart broken you had to leave this world far too early. You will not be forgotten as we see you in our memories and in the faces of your girls. We know you are looking down on your family with great
