Condolence & Memory Journal

I have known the Owen family for many years....
They are all such terrific people
My heart breaks for Holly, Shawn, Danny, Corrine, Austin, for all the pain they are going through at this moment. I hope with each passing day it becomes easier to deal with the sorrow you are feeling.

Bill was an absolutely wonderful man. He had a very kind and caring heart.
I will truly miss him.
Rest in peace my dear friend.
My deepest sympathies to all of you. You are in my thought and prayers.

Love you all
Sandy Fior

Sis and family, Words cannot express how sorry I am that this has happened to you. I pray God will give the peace and strength to each of you that only He can give. Feel the love others are sending your way. Revelation 21:4 promises that one day we will never have pain, sorrow, or death. We will never have to be apart again. A wonderful promise I hold too. Lifting you up to the throne of God. <3>

To My husband:

I miss my husband the way no words can describe. He has been my everything since we laid eyes on each other over 36 years ago. 36 years that seem far too short. My heart and soul will forever have a void in them that can never be filled. The only solace I have in this time is cherishing all the wonderful memories and knowing that he is in peace after fighting so long and so hard. Despite his great desire to fight to be around to see his children and grandchildren grow and evolve; in the end his sickness got the best of him. He is no longer in pain and now my beloved husband Bill is in Heaven holding his grandson Brodi, catching up with his son Billy, and reminiscing his childhood with his mother and father, and playing poker with my mother Jeanice.

Until we meet againI love you my dear husband Bill. XOXOXOXOXO

From a Father, who is a Son

I fathers love for a son is misunderstood, its not like a mothers.

Its not the hours your mom spent in labor,
its the first and last time your dad kisses your toes.

Its not cradling you or wiping your knees like mom did,
its your dads stern voice saying get up, you can do it.

Its not the lunches your mom made you for school,
its your dad who worked to feed you those lunches.

Its not your mom who fears your first time behind the wheel,
its your dad that forgives your first accident.

Its not your mom who goes to your graduation,
its your dad who tells his friends silently, thats my boy.

Its not your mom all freaked out when you get married,
its your dad glad your finally moving out.

So much of fatherhood is misunderstood, and to every father out there...

Don't be so afraid to hug your boy, say I love you and be proud of him even if he's selling fries or the president!

My father, was very quiet man when it came to me. I spent many years feeling unloved and even misunderstood. But my memories of my father at this moment are simple. He bought a bag of Burnt Peanuts to share with me when I was a child, and being a child when I heard the pop and crack coming from his mouth I didn't realize it wasn't the peanuts until he told me, he broke and split his tooth, imagine the pain, I've had it happen to myself now older. But my father I still remember his face, he looked like he wanted to cry, but he looked at me smiled and said, try one they're good. Probably why i love burnt peanuts so much.

I do love you dad, even though we never said it.

Knowing Bill and Sis for so long there are hundreds of memories but this is the one I revisit most often.

Bill as tour guide for Sis and my Mother's Day Trip to Greektown. Went to Trapper's Alley, rode the People Mover, and had dinner at Pizza Papalis. (NOTE: We had our 6 kids, ages 8 and under with us.) One of the BEST Mother Day's ever. Fond memories.

Dear Sweet William you will be missed.
