Tribute & Message From The Family

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Mary Lou by adding your memories and photos.

Mary Lou Otto (Stahl), age 86 of Roseville, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2014. Mary Lou was the mother of Barbara (Mike Nakamura), Kathleen (Kenneth Capicchioni), Patricia (Michael) Wisniewski and Roger (Suzette Haile); grandmother to six loving grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, David, Anna, Ross and Mary; sister to Albert and Elaine and loved by many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Roger and brothers Jim and Jerry. Secretary at Roseville HS for 25 years.
Mary Lou was what you would now call a "Renaissance" woman. She sewed her own clothes as well as her girls clothes when they were growing up. She decorated cakes for her family and others and cooked all dinners from scratch. Mary Lou was also very creative in the arts-she played piano and loved to paint. She was a mean card player and was a member of a neighborhood pinochle club that met for over 50 years! If she wasn't playing cards, she was up for playing bingo or hitting the casinos. In her quieter times she was a voracious reader and was a good listener for her friends and family and people she had just met.

She loved her life-her family, her friends and her faith. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

So sorry to hear of you mothers passing. She was such a nice lady. I worked with her in the office at Roseville High School when I was a Senior there. She was fun to be around. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Patricia Henry ( daughter of John and Madelynn Myers).

Pat and I were great friends growing up together, roger being the "tough one" and in contrast Mary Lou the kind and gentle parent. She got us out of a few jams with roger. Friends were always welcomed in her home. I have fond memories of Mary Lou . My deepest sympathy to barb, Kathy, roger and my buddy Pat. My thoughts are with you all.
